My Insta-Spring 2017 |Smugnificent

As you might have noticed it is been quite some time since I have uploaded an insta-post. I was always on schedule with these in the past but I realised that some months I just ended up posting almost all my instagram photos from that month and I did not feel like the posts offered something to the ones who follow me on instagram. Therefore, I decided to upload these in a seasonal basis. Like this, I enjoy more preparing the posts and I making a small trip down the memory lane of the last few months in order to chose some of the photos that stood out for me.

So this Spring, I travelled quite a lot for work in March and April, maybe a bit more than I wanted. I am like a house cat if you get to know me, travelling is nice provided that it is not too frequent and I get to enjoy my home... Back to back travelling with my work rhythms on top is just exhausting. However, I had quite a nice time  and I have some wonderful memories from these months, during my trips and back in Bern.

Another insta-post: Autumn edition |Smugnificent

I am finally back after a looooong hiatus and what is better than a recap of what I have been doing during these last few months. Well to be honest that shouldn't be a difficult recap as most of this time I woke up, I worked and I slept; oh that fascinating lifestyle hahaha. And afterwards I went on vacation; my first vacation days of 2016, finally. Although the whole last year was very stressful for me and I had to make a lot of small or large "sacrifices", retrospectively I really think that I came out stronger and more confident and more determined that I can achieve anything I want to. So that is for sure a good thing. 

I think the most important thing for me during this period was submitting my Thesis and defending successfully my PhD. I am still working in the same field as a post-doctorate fellow so I continue doing things I love from another position. For all the fun not working moments I have included a ton of pictures, mainly food related I have to admit so be prepared as this might be the most photo-heavy and mouth-watering post ever on this blog!

My Insta-June/July 2016 |Smugnificent

I cannot even believe that it's been 2 whole months since my last post but to be honest, I cannot even believe how these months past. As I have explained you in this video (here in Greek) I am taking some time off from vlogging and blogging mainly for work reasons. And I really have passed every single day working my ass off but I am seeing great results so I will not complain.

 It was hard to not go back to Greece this summer or take any vacation days but I am now 4 years in Switzerland and I know that even the busier times are filled with wonderful little moments. I just have put together a selection of photos from June and July in this double insta-post to recap all the non-working moments of these months.

My Insta-May 2016 |Smugnificent

A couple weeks ago, I uploaded a video on my Youtube channel (here in Greek) explaining why I need to take some time off from vlogging and blogging. Since some time now and for the next months, my working schedule is plain crazy taking over all my free personal time. I needed to re-evaluate my priorities for a while in order to manage keeping these rhythms long term.

But as I promised, I will still try to post an occasional post or video whenever I find a bit time and I really want to try not miss my insta posts as they are always a great recap of my months especially for you who don't follow me on social media. I still try to keep in touch through insta, snapchat, facebook and twitter though, where you can always find me as smugnificent.

My Insta-April 2016 |Smugnificent

Time for a delayed insta-post but it's not the first time so I will not begin with excuses. April is my favourite month of the year as it is my birthday month. This April was absolutely crazy and it passed in a second. 

And yes I know that all my months are very busy but believe me, life is certainly going to be a roller-coaster the next months until September and it is quite possible to affect my blog and YouTube channel although I promise to try and do my best.

My Insta-March 2016 |Smugnificent

I was planning to post this insta monthly round-up a few days ago, but I have spent the last 3 days laying in bed because of horrible back pain. I am still far from fine but I manage to stay seated for a while now so I will try to put this up for you as a change to my continuous circle of sleeping and Netflix.

Similarly with February, maybe because I am getting more and more busy at work or perhaps because I am getting more into Snapchat (@smugnificent), I noticed that I posted a bit less during this month on instagram. Still I post quite often, it remains one of my favourite social media but maybe I am less obsessed compared to some time ago.

February was overall a boring month and maybe one of the few months I posted so little on instagram. Still as always, there very quite a few fun moments that I would like to share with you as monthly-recap on this post.

My Insta-January 2016 |Smugnificent

It is time again for my insta-month post and while choosing the photos one think became obvious, this month was delicious! Coming back from holidays is never easy and January was certainly really full with its ups and downs but I can certainly say it had some cool highlights.

  The only thing I could say I didn't really enjoyed this month was being away from my home for a big part of it. Traveling for work or even for vacation is cool and fun but overall wanderlust is not one of my traits, I love staying home too much hahaha.

My Insta-December 2015 |Smugnificent

I have been away from blogging from more than a month and I will avoid listing excuses but I am back and I will try to catch up on my post especially since I am incapable of filming since I have a hoarse voice from the moment I got back from vacation. December's insta-posts are among my favourites and it is always very difficult to chose pictures for them so this post will be indeed picture heavy. So before diving into my photo diary for the last month of 2015 I just have a small announcement concerning the blog.

 It is something that I am thinking since more than a year now and I decided to finally give it a go. From now on my posts (at least the majority of them) will be written only in English. Writing in 2 languages especially the crazy long posts I use to write is sometimes exhausting and often results in writing less and less. In an effort to try blogging a bit more often I will try keeping one language and see how it goes. That doesn't bring any change on my Youtube videos where I will keep filming them both in Greek and English as usual as I got a clear feedback from all of you that you prefer that. So I hope I will have your support in this effort and that I will compensate with more posts that you will all enjoy!

My Insta-November 2015 |Smugnificent

November came and left and it brought cold autumn weather and even some glimpses of winter. Certainly a crazy busy month (but December is even crazier) but I tried to enjoy every little bit of free time.

 

O Νοέμβριος ήρθε και πέρασε και έφερε κρύο φθινοπωρινό καιρό για να μην πω ακόμη και χειμωνιάτικη ατμόσφαιρα. Σίγουρα ήταν ένας τρελός γεμάτος μήνας (και πιστέψτε με ο Δεκέμβριος είναι ακόμη πιο τρελός) αλλά προσπάθησα να απολαύσω κάθε στιγμή που είχα ελεύθερη.

My Insta-October 2015 |Smugnificent

I guess you noticed that I skipped lat month's insta-post, something that I do very rarely but it was a crappy month and I took some time off social media so there were not a lot of photos to show you anyway. October was much better and I was in a much better mood to enjoy time with friends and try out some new and old things beauty-wise.

Φαντάζομαι θα προσέξατε πως δεν ανέβασα insta-post τον Σεπτέμβρη, κάτι που συμβαίνει σπάνια αλλά ήταν πραγματιά ένας πολύ δύσκολος μήνας και έμεινα λίγο μακριά από τα social media οπότε δεν είχα και πολλές φωτογραφίες να σας δείξω ούτως ή άλλως. Ο Οκτώβρης εξελίχθηκε πολύ καλύτερα και είχα πολύ καλύτερη διάθεση να απολαύσω το χρόνο που περνούσα με τους φιλους μου αλλά και να "παίξω" με νέα αλλά και παλιά προϊόντα!

My Insta-August 2015 |Smugnificent

After a full, super fun vacation July, August was relatively quiet and full of work. September is  expected to be even more busy and stressful so I tried and keep trying to enjoy the little everyday things and spend as much time I can with my friends. I also feel like I actually need every moment of relaxation possible to keep my shit together. So far it seems it works.

 Μετά από ένα γεμάτο, πολύ διασκεδαστικό Ιούλιο, ακολούθησε ένας σχετικά ήρεμος Αύγουστος με πολύ δουλειά. Επειδή ο Σεπτέμβρης αναμένεται ακόμη χειρότερος από έλλειψη χρόνου και γεμάτος στρες, προσπάθησα και συνεχίζω να προσπαθώ να απολαύσω όλες τις μικρές καθημερινές στιγμές και να περάσω όμορφα με τους φίλους μου. Νιώθω επίσης πως έχω ανάγκη κάθε στιγμή χαλάρωσης ώστε να τα βγάλω πέρα και μέχρι στιγμής φαίνεται πως κάτι γίνεται.

I am back after a summer vacation hiatus as I had let you know on Facebook. I hadn't done that since really really long but my exhausting rhythms reached that point so a break was needed. I even missed my previous insta-month but there is no better way to return than a new insta-post not so beauty related this time but certainly vacation-centric. So let me show you what I did while I was away and be sure to not check this post with an empty stomach (hihi).

Επιστρέφω μετά από μια καλοκαιρινή διακοπή όπως σας είχα ενημερώσει και στο Facebook. Δεν είχα κάνει κάτι παρόμοιο εδώ και πολύ καιρό αλλά οι εξαντλητικοί μου ρυθμοί επιτέλους με έφτασαν στο σημείο που πραγματικά είχα ανάγκη από ένα διάλειμμα. Έχασα ακόμη και το προηγούμενο insta-post κάτι που δεν έχει ξαναγίνει αλλά δεν υπάρχει καλύτερος τρόπος να επιστρέψω από ένα νέο insta-post που δεν είναι τόσο σχετικό με beauty αλλά περισσότερο σχετικό με τις διακοπές μου. Αφήστε με λοιπόν να σας δείξω τι έκανα όσο έλειπα και σιγουρευτείτε πως θα τσεκάρετε αυτό το post με γεμάτο στομάχι.

May was such a wonderful month and it was almost impossible to choose photos from my monthly insta-post. Many happy moments shared with wonderful friends, so much fun and joy, a bit recharging from a short vacation. I will treasure these moments always and I will try to share some of them with you through this post.

Ο Μάιος ήταν ένας πραγματικά υπέροχος μήνας και ήταν πολύ δύσκολο να επιλέξω ποιες φωτογραφίες θα συμπεριλάβω σε αυτό το insta-post. Πάρα πολλές χαρούμενες στιγμές που μοιράστηκα με φίλους αλλά και λίγες μέρες διακοπών για να γεμίσουν οι μπαταρίες. Πραγματικά θα κρατήσω πολλές από αυτές τις όμορφες αναμνήσεις μαζί μου και θα προσπαθήσω να μοιραστώ κάποιες από αυτές μέσα από αυτό το post.

My Insta-April 2015 |Smugnificent

This post comes with a small delay but I am trying to spend a few relaxed days of vacation finally so I hope you will understand. April was certainly a festive month. Easter holidays, Greek Easter celebration, my birthday and my Name-day all in one month! Woot-woot! It was obviously a month full of new beauty stuff judging from my insta-pics. Presents, shopping and PR of new releases, I definitely found some new loves this month! But let's see more details.

Το post αυτό έρχεται με μια μικρή καθυστέρηση αλλά επιτέλους προσπαθώ να περάσω λίγες χαλαρές μέρες διακοπών (επιτέλους) οπότε ελπίζω να καταλαβαίνετε. Ο Απρίλιος ήταν ένας πολύ εορταστικός μήνας. Πάσχα, τα γενέθλια μου και η ονομαστική μου εορτή όλα σε ένα μήνα!  Γιούπι! Επίσης ήταν ολοφάνερα ένας μήνας γεμάτος νέες προσθήκες στο beauty οπλοστάσιο μου, αν κρίνω από τις φωτογραφίες. Δώρα, αγορές αλλά και PR νέων προϊόντων, σίγουρα βρήκα πολλές νέες αγάπες αυτό το μήνας. Πάμε να δούμε περισσότερες λεπτομέρειες.

My Insta-March 2015 |Smugnificent

If you ask me I will tell you that I fell asleep around the end of February and when I woke up March was over. This is another reason that I really like writing these posts. They are like a photo diary keeping the most relaxed, happiest and fun moments together. And judging by these pics, March had quite a few of these moments. 

Αν με ρωτήσετε για τον περασμένο μήνα, θα σας πω ότι είναι σαν να αποκοιμήθηκα στο τέλος του Φλεβάρη και να ξύπνησα αφού ο Μάρτης είχε ήδη τελείωσει. Αυτός είναι για μένα και ένας ακόμη λόγος που αγαπώ αυτά τα posts. Είναι σαν να κρατάω ένα φωτογραφικό ημερολόγιο όπου έχω όλες τις χαλαρές, ευχάριστες και διασκεδαστικές στιγμές μαζεμένες. Και κρίνοντας από τις φωτογραφίες εδώ, ο Μάρτης είχε αρκετές από αυτές τις στιγμές. 

My Insta-February 2015 |Smugnificent

I just realised today that it was already the 8th of the month and still haven posted my insta month. I am having crazy days and I have lost completely track of time, since the last couple of weeks I am working 12 hours a day even on the weekends. I don't complain, as I have some very exciting stuff happening at work but I find it a bit difficult to stay in a good program with the blog. I am still uploading videos every week on Youtube and will try to blog as much as I can but I am prepared for some crazy busy months. In the meantime, February was really fun whenever I found a bit of time to relax and unwind.  

Μόλις σήμερα συνειδητοποίησα πως έχει πάει 8 του μήνα και ακόμη δεν είχα ποστάρει το insta-post του μήνα. Τελευταία πραγματικά έχω χάσει κάθε αίσθηση του χρόνου καθώς εδώ και λίγες εβδομάδες δουλεύω πάνω από 12 ώρες την ημέρα καθώς και τα πιο πολλά Σαββατοκύριακα. Δεν παραπονιέμαι γιατί είμαι ενθουσιασμένη με διάφορα πράγματα που συμβαίνουν στη δουλειά αλλά δυσκολεύομαι να κρατήσω ένα καλό πρόγραμμα με το blog. Συνεχίζω να ανεβάζω videos κάθε εβδομάδα και θα προσπαθήσω να ποστάρω όσο πιο συχνά μπορώ αλλά με περιμένουν μερικοί ακόμη τρελοί μήνες. Εν τω μεταξύ, όλες οι στιγμές που κατάφερα να ξεκλέψω το Φεβρουάριο πέρασαν πολύ διασκεδαστικά.

February is already her, so it is time to check how January went by. I don't know, some times I feel like time flies but this time I feel like New Year' s eve was 4 months ago, so many things happened this month. Very early in the month I returned from my holiday in Greece and since then I am full speed dedicated to work but also to you all, trying to keep up with videos and posts.

Μπήκαμε ήδη στον Φεβρουάριο, οπότε ήρθε η ώρα για ένα ακόμη insta-post. Άλλες φορές νιώθω πως ο χρόνος περνά απίστευτα γρήγορα, όμως τώρα νιώθω πως η Πρωτοχρονιά ήταν πριν 4 μήνες, ήταν τόσο γεμάτος μήνας. Από την αρχή κιόλας του μήνα επέστρεψα από τις διακοπές μου στην Ελλάδα και έπεσα με τα μούτρα στη δουλειά προσπαθώντας ταυτόχρονα να αφιερώσω τον ελεύθερο μου χρόνο σε σας για να μη μείνω πίσω στο πρόγραμμα μου από  videos και posts.

My Insta-December 2014 |Smugnificent

Happy and prosperous New Year everyone. I know I was away for long and I hadn't had the chance to upload a post during my holiday (I managed to keep a good program on Youtube though I hoped you have checked all my festive videos) but I am back and there is no better way to start the year than an insta post. I am putting a disclaimer here this is a post with little words and heavy on photos. It was so impossible for me to choose which pics I should include, I definately posted like crazy on instagram this month, trying to keep in touch with all of you while I was away. Another important disclaimer is to avoid checking this while being hungry, hihi!

Καλή χρονιά σε όλους με υγεία και ότι ποθείτε! Το ξέρω πως έλειπα καιρό και δεν κατάφερα να ανεβάσω post για 2 εβδομάδες (αλλά κατάφερα να κρατήσω ένα καλό πρόγραμμα με τα videos μου στο  Youtube τα οποία ελπίζω να έχετε προλάβει να δείτε)  αλλά επέστρεψα και πιστεύω πως δεν υπάρχει καλύτερος τρόπος να ξεκινήσω το χρόνο από ένα insta-post. Ξεκαθαρίζω πως πρόκειται για ένα post με πάρα πολλές φωτογραφίες. ήταν αδύνατο πράγματι να διαλέξω ποιες φωτογραφίες θα συμπεριλάβω, απ' ότι φαίνεται ανέβασα πολλές φωτογραφίες στο instagram αυτό το μήνα, ώστε να βρίσκομαι σε επαφή με όλους σας όσο λείπω. Μια τελευταία προειδοποίηση: μην διαβάσετε το post αυτό αν πεινάτε, χεχε! 

My Insta-November 2014| Smugnificent

I am a bit late for this post but there is no way I will skip a month's insta post! November was a wonderful, quiet and relaxed month. No traveling for me but a lot of beautiful moments with friends. Definately a month that I really enjoyed.

 Το ξέρω πως άργησα να ανεβάσω αυτό το ποστ αλλά δεν σας έχω αφήσει ποτέ χωρίς insta post! Ο Νοέμβριος ήταν ένας όμορφος, ήρεμος και σχετικά χαλαρός μήνας. Επιτέλους ένας μήνας ελεύθερος από ταξίδια, γεμάτος όμορφες στιγμές με φίλους. Σίγουρα ένας μήνας που απόλαυσα.
