Empty mascaras reviews |Smugnificent

Hello everyone! I will not even try to start apologising and excusing myself for being away from blogging for so long. Life can be overwhelming in different ways and one of my most important decisions for 2017 is to not let my hobbies (like blogging and vlogging) become stressful but to try my best to really enjoy them. I will still try to not be absent for so long and I will also try to keep my blog more connected to my YouTube channel since it seems that I tend to be more punctual with filming. 

So this week I have for you a video reviewing mascaras which I have used up completely. I have a series with similar videos on my channel and this is the 4th mascara review video I uploaded. I included a wide range of drugstore and high-end mascaras as well as some colour mascaras and some special types so I think you will find a wide variety for many different tastes. I hope you enjoy this video and let me know which are your favourite mascaras that I need to try. Oh and be sure to suggest your best mascaras for the lower lashes!

NYX Cosmetics Greece- Blogger of the Month| prize and products review

 A few months ago, NYX Cosmetics Greece began a monthly contest called the blogger of the month, which was based on NYX products review blog posts or youtube videos. It was a perfect timing since I have gotten a ton of NYX products during the previous few months that I was trying out and wanted to review. To be more specific the announcement of the contest found me editing a NYX review video haha! So I participated with this review (it is in Greek unfortunately for my non Greek speaking followers) and my video was selected by NYX cosmetics Greece as the best review of the month! As a reward they sent me few more products to try out and here I am reviewing them for you.

 Πριν λίγο διάστημα, η NYX Cosmetics Greece ξεκίνησε ένα μηνιαίο διαγωνισμό για τον/την blogger of the month, που επιλέγεται με βάση review blog posts ή youtube videos προϊόντων της εταιρίας. Η ανακοίνωση του διαγωνισμού με πέτυχε σε τέλειο timing καθώς τους τελευταίους μήνες έχω αγοράσει μια μεγάλη ποικιλία NYX προϊόντων που χρησιμοποιώ και θέλω να κάνω review για σας. Συγκεκριμένα διάβασα την ανακοίνωση του διαγωνισμού καθώς έκανα edit σε ένα ΝYX review video χαχα! Συμμετείχα λοιπόν με το review αυτό (το παραθέτω στο τέλος του ποστ για όσους δε το έχετε δει) και προς μεγάλη μου χαρά το video αυτό επιλέχθηκε από την NYX cosmetics Greece ως το καλύτερο review του μήνα! Ως βραβείο μου έστειλαν μερικά ακόμη προϊόντα να δοκιμάσω για τα οποία σήμερα σας λέω την άποψη μου.

My Favorite Spring Nail Polishes (by Smugnificent)

  Earlier this week I uploaded a video in Greek on my Youtube channel about my favorite Spring polishes, since the weather in Switzerland started to remind Spring finally (now it is like fall again but I am keeping the hope guys). Τhis video is a collaboration with a lovely Greek blogger and Youtuber Lucy (so be sure to check her out I have her links on the video, she does a lot of tutorials etc no need to speak Greek to watch these!). I had promised you that I would put a list of the polishes I mentioned here on my blog so I could also share some swatches with all of you my non Greek speaking friends too. I know I am a bit too late but a lot of work and my birthday celebrations got in the way. Well better late than ever. So let's check my 20 favorite polishes for Spring (without any particular order).

Πριν λίγες μέρες ανέβασα ένα video collaboration με τη γλυκύτατη Lucy, όπου σας δείχνουμε τα αγαπημένα μας βερνίκια νυχιών για την Άνοιξη. Σας είχα υποσχεθεί πως θα ανέβει post με τα ονόματα των βερνικιών που ανέφερα, όπως και photo swatches. Το ξέρω πως άργησα αλλά πολύ δουλειά, ένα συνέδριο και οι γενέθλιοι εορτασμοί χαχα μπήκαν στη μέση, όμως κάλλιο αργά παρά ποτέ. Όσες δε τσεκάρατε το video make sure you do (και της Lucy φυσικά) και πάμε να δούμε την 20αδα μου. Για το καθένα θα έχω κάποιο σύντομο σχόλιο στα αγγλικά καθώς μίλησα αναλυτικά στα ελληνικά γι αυτά στο video. Πολλές από τις photos τις έχετε ξαναδεί στο instagram ή εδώ στο blog ή στη σελίδα στο facebook, για τα υπόλοιπα έκανα μερικά νέα swatches στα γρήγορα. Μερικά swatches είναι αρκετά παλιά, χαίρομαι που βλέπω πως έχω βελτιωθεί λιγάκι με τον καιρό χαχα. Περιμένω να μάθω και τα δικά σας αγαπημένα βερνίκια για την Άνοιξη!

Valentine's Day pink-grey make up tutorial

 I admit it, I couldn't care less about Valentine's Day and all these sappy stuff. It is not my thing and it never was. But a few days ago I posted on instagram a look that I had on for a conference presentation and many of you asked for a tutorial because it looked very fresh and easy going. I decided to make a variation for you and I thought that if I really wanted a clean and simple Valentine's look or even better a nice date look this could be a good fit. Sometimes I see some supposedly Valentine looks and I wonder "Are they really plan to go out with a guy in a romantic date like that?". Try to feel comfortable and do not overdo it with your date looks. That stands for makeup and clothes and everything. Leave your super modern looks for your days out with your friends. Especially if you are preparing for a first date or something like that always keep in mind that less is more and that doesn't apply only to your skirt length lol. 

 I have put English subs in this tutorial and you can all watch it if you 'd like. As for the list of products I 've used just go on reading. Enjoy! I am waiting to hear comment on how you liked it or even funny stories about dreadful valentine's day looks you have seen. 

 Πρέπει να το παραδεχτώ δε με ενδιαφέρει καθόλου όλος αυτός ο χαμός περί Αγίου Βαλεντίνου κι ούτε με ενδιέφερε ποτέ. Πριν μερικές όμως μέρες ανέβασα στο instagram μια photo από ένα look που είχα σε μια παρουσίαση σε συνέδριο και πολλές μου ζητήσατε tutorial καθώς έμοιαζε φρέσκο και easy-going. Αποφάσισα λοιπόν να ανεβάσω μια παραλλαγή του και σκέφτηκα πως αν με ενδιέφερε να βρω ένα απλό, "καθαρό" look για τη μέρα αυτή ή γενικά για κάποιο ραντεβού αυτό θα ήταν πολύ ταιριαστό. Δε ξέρω καμιά φορά βλέπω κάποια Valentine's Day looks και αναρωτιέμαι "σκοπεύουν στα αλήθεια να βγουν έτσι σε ρομαντικό ραντεβού με κάποιον;". το σημαντικό είναι να νιώθετε άνετα κι όχι να το παρακάνετε ειδικά σε αυτά τα looks. Αφήστε τα looks που είναι τελευταία λέξη της μόδας για όταν βγαίνετε με την παρέα ή τις κολλητές σας. Ειδικά σε κάποιο πρώτο ραντεβού όπου πρέπει να χετε πάντα στο μυαλό σας ότι "less is more" κι όχι δεν αναφέρομαι στο μήκος της φούστας σας χαχα.
Παρακάτω θα βρείτε και μια αναλυτική λίστα με τα προϊόντα που χρησιμοποίησα. Περιμένω τα σχόλια σας για το πως σας φάνηκε το look ή ακόμη και αστείες ιστορίες για κάποια τραγικά looks που έχετε δει με αφορμή αυτή τη μέρα.

Christmas look 2012 Bold Red Lips- Video Tutorial

 This is my first make up tutorial video (and I have already found so many stuff I want to improve lol). It is a Christmas look with discreet golden eyes and bold red lips that some of you asked me on Youtube. The video is in Greek because as I explained it is much easier for to speak on my native language. But if some of you would like I would try to make also some videos in English or incorporate English subtitles after the Holidays. You can find a list here with all the products I have used and recreate the look if you want using similar shades. I hope you like it.

Αυτό είναι το πρώτο μου make up tutorial video (κι έχω βρει ήδη τόσα πολλά στοιχεία που θέλω να διορθώσω χαχα). Είναι ένα εορταστικό look με απαλά μάτια σε χρυσαφένιους τόνους και έντονα κόκκινα χείλη, όπως κάποιες από σας μου ζητήσατε στο Youtube. Εδώ μπορείτε να βρείτε τα προϊόντα που χρησιμοποίησα ώστε να δημιουργήσετε και σεις το look χρησιμοποιώντας παρόμοιες αποχρώσεις. Catrice Big City eyes and cheek palettes (and a giveway)

 One of my favorite drugstore brands lately is Catrice and those who follow me on instagram have seen me refer to their products many many times. This is a German make up brand that belongs to the same group with Essence. Unfortunately it is not available in Greece. From my knowledge they are mostly available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland as well as in certain stores in Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Portugal and Spain. In case you travel in any of these countries I think it is worth to search this brand. Ιn this post I will talk you about 2 palettes from a limited edition collection, The Big City Life: San Francisco and Paris eye and cheek palettes. For these there is also a review and giveaway video on my Youtube channel open for Greek subscribers until 15/12/2012!

 Μια από τις αγαπημένες μου drugstore εταιρίες το τελευταίο διάστημα είναι η εταιρία Catrice και όσες με ακολουθείτε στο instagram θα με έχετε δει σίγουρα να αναφέρομαι συχνά στα προϊόντα τους. Πρόκειται για γερμανική εταιρία που ανήκει στον ίδιο όμιλο με την εταιρία Essence. Δυστυχώς τα προϊόντα της δε διατίθενται στην Ελλάδα. Από όσο γνωρίζω διατίθενται αποκλειστικά σε Γερμανία, Αυστρία, Ελβετία και σε ορισμένα καταστήματα σε Κροτία, Σλοβενία, Ουγγαρία, Πορτογαλία και Ισπανία. Αναφέρω τις χώρες γιατί πιστεύω πως αν τύχει να ταξιδέψετε σε κάποια από τις χώρες αυτές αξίζει να τα αναζητήσετε. Lip products- Autumn 2012

 Αυτό είναι ένα συνοδευτικό post για το video που ανέβασα πριν μερικές μέρες αναφορικά με ορισμένα προϊόντα για τα χείλη που επέλεξα για τη νέα season. Θα δείτε photos και πιο κοντινά swatches όπως επίσης και ένα ακόμη κραγιόν τέλειο για τη φθινοπωρινή season που αγόρασα μία μόλις μέρα αφού γύρισα το video.

This is blog post about some new lip products I chose for the new season. It is accompanying a video I 've made (in greek) and has photos and swatches of some lip products that I am already really enjoying a lot. Hope you like it! And I promise I will try to upload an English video soon.

Paris Make up palette από τη Sigma

Στο video αυτό σας παρουσιάζω μια από τις αγαπημένες μου παλέτες, τη συλλεκτική Paris make up palette της εταιρίας Sigma. Εκτός από το video μπορείτε εδώ να βρείτε και μερικές φωτογραφίες καθώς και swatches για μια πιο ολοκληρωμένη εντύπωση. Enjoy!

This is another video in greek where I review one of my favorite palettes, the limited edition Paris makeup palette by Sigma. Although all of our non Greek readers cannot enjoy the video, I've put here many photos and swatches so that you can have a better idea. Overall I am absolutely satisfied by this palette. The quality of the eyeshadows is amazing, very pigmented and with wonderful application. Also  both blushes are very flattering for most skintones and the highlighter is one of the best I 've tried so far. Finally, I don't to say a lot about the brushes since the quality of Sigma brushes is known . I am especially satisfied from the blush brush. In conclusion just go and get it while it is still available.

My A-England nail polishes video post

This is a post that is addressed to our Greek readers mostly because it is about a youtube video (my first one!) about the A-England nail polishes I have in my collection. It is quite possible to make also some videos in English in the future so you can check out my channel if you like.
