Trying out Lush skincare |Smugnificent

About a month and a half ago I was invited to attend the 15th anniversary of Lush here in Switzerland, at their first store here in Bern. I already loved the Lush store here in Bern; it is one of the few stores I visited my first day in the city. And that's when I got my Lush card, my first store card here even before I decided to move here. I was amazed by the renovation of the store close to the style of their flagship store in Oxford street in London. Very clean, very eco-friendly as expected by Lush, certainly a joy to shop there.

Besides presenting us the new look of the store, we had the opportunity for a very thorough presentation of the Lush skincare line with demonstration of several products resulting in specific recommendations based on our skin type and needs. I have tried very few skincare products by Lush so far and I am a known skincare junkie so I was pretty intrigued to try out the products they recommended for me and let you know how it went.

 I am the type of person that spends a lot of time pampering my skin (face and body) all year long but as the weather becomes warmer (some people even started swimming in Greece), the level of anxiety about our body rises significantly. And lets be honest, I am putting that here in the start as a type of disclaimer, I am very self-aware of my body and my anti-sports attitude so I don't expect any cream to transform it to the body of someone else, but still I have a few products that I like using all year long but especially as summer is approaching. Some of these I am pretty confident that would work even better to people that actually exercise, are more active, fitter etc. But they still work when I use them. Let's check them out.

 Γενικά είμαι από τους ανθρώπους που περνούν πολλές ώρες στην περιποίηση του δέρματος τους (πρόσωπο και σώμα) όλο το χρόνο αλλά όσο ο καιρός ζεσταίνει (μαθαίνω πως κάποιες αρχίσατε τα μπάνια ήδη), όλες αγχωνόμαστε περισσότερο για το σώμα μας. Και για να είμαστε ειλικρινείς, δηλώνω εξαρχής πως έχω πλήρη επίγνωση του σώματος μου και της απέχθειας μου για όλα τα σπορ και δε πιστεύω πως καμιά κρέμα μπορεί να το μεταμορφώσει. Παρόλα αυτά έχω κάποια προϊόντα που μου αρέσει να χρησιμοποιώ (όλο το χρόνο αλλά κυρίως) εν όψει του καλοκαιριού. Πολλά από αυτά πιστεύω πως θα ήταν πολύ πιο αποτελεσματικά σε άτομα που αθλούνται και προσέχουν πιο πολύ το σώμα τους αλλά και θεωρώ πως κάνουν δουλειά ούτως ή άλλως. Για να τα δούμε! 

Smells like Lush Christmas Spirit

 Prepare to enter a post of Christmas goodness and deliciousness. For the start of December I have the most mouthwatering post for you. It is long, it smells incredible and it could lead you to a shopping orgy. You have been warned! Let's dive into some Lush amazingness.

Το post αυτό είναι πραγματικά τεράστιο και το άφησα στα αγγλικά μόνο. Κάποια από τα προϊόντα αυτά σας τα έχω δείξει στο τελευταίο haul video και εδώ σας έχω μαζί και όσα μου έστειλε η εταιρία Lush να δοκιμάσω. Ξέρω πόσο δύσκολο είναι να προμηθευτείτε Lush στην Ελλάδα, αλλά σε κάθε περίπτωση αν σκοπεύετε να ταξιδέψετε κοντά στις γιορτές σίγουρα είναι ένα κατάστημα που πρέπει να τσεκάρετε. Γενικά είμαι fan αλλά κοντά στα Χριστούγεννα αποτρελαίνομαι. Ελπίζω να απολαύσετε αυτό το μυρωδάτο, λαχταριστό post και μην ξεχάσετε το εορταστικό giveaway που τρέχει στο Youtube ως τις 18 Δεκεμβρίου. Φιλιά πολλά και θα τα πούμε στο επόμενο post ή video.

When you have a great cousin

Σήμερα θα σας μιλήσω για την αγαπημένη μου ξαδέρφη. 2 πρώτες ξαδέρφες έχω, η 1 είναι πιο μικρή αλλά με τη συνονόματή μου έχουμε 1 χρόνο διαφορά. Από μικρές παίζαμε μαζί, τις Κυριακές έκανα επιδρομές στη ντουλάπα της και είναι τόοοοοοοοοσο καλή που πιστεύω πως αν της έλεγα πως θέλω να βάλω αυτό που φοράς, θα το έβγαζε να μου το δώσει. Η ξαδέρφη μου πάντοτε μου έφερνε υπέροχα δώρα, αυτή ήταν που μου έμαθε τα MAC (το πρώτο μου MAC ρουζ μαζί το αγοράσαμε και ακόμα το έχω). Και θέλω να σας πω για τα δώρα που μου έκανε από πέρσι τα Χριστούγεννα. Πέρσι τα Χριστούγεννα μου πήρε από τα MAC την Χριστουγεννιάτικη συλλογή τα travel sizes πινέλα. (Θα ακολουθήσει brushes post.)

Today I want to talk you about my cousin. I have two first cousins, the second one is younger but the 1st one is 1 year older and we have the same name. As kids we used to play together, I chose clothes from her closet at Sundays and she is sooooooo kind and I believe that if I told her that I wanted to wear what she is wearing I could have it. My cousin always gives me awesome gifts, she presented to my eyes the great world of MAC cosmetics ( I was with her when I bought my first MAC blush, I still have it.) And I want to tell you about the gifts she gave me since last Christmas. Then she had got me the travel sizes brushes from Christmas tartan collection! (The brushes post will follow soon).

Friends bearing gifts!

 Μπορεί να λένε "φοβού τους Δαναούς και δώρα φέροντας"  όταν όμως πρόκειται για πολυαγαπημένους φίλους που έρχονται από το εξωτερικό με διάφορα καλούδια που δεν μπορείς να βρεις στη χώρα σου μάλλον αισθάνεσαι ενθουσιασμό παρά φόβο! Ανυπομονώ να σας δείξω τα καλούδια που παρήγγειλα στην κολλητή μου από τα Lush από Ολλανδία καθώς κι ένα special δωράκι από Λονδίνο από ένα καλό μου φίλο!

  Americans use the expression "Fear Greeks bearing gifts" but when the greeks we are talking about are my beloved friends and they are bringing me goodies from abroad that I can't find in Greece, the correct feeling isn't fear but enthousiasm! I couldn 't wait to show you all the beautiful Lush things I ordered my best friend to bring me back from Holland and also a special gift from a good friend from London!

  Το 2011 φτάνει στο τέλος του και οι λίστες με τα αγαπημένα μας (τραγούδια, ταινίες, προϊόντα κλπ) για τη χρονιά που πέρασε είναι χαρακτηριστικό της περιόδου. Προσωπικά μου αρέσει πολύ να διαβάζω τέτοια posts γιατί είναι όμορφο να ανακαλύπτεις κοινά αγαπημένα προϊόντα ή ακόμη πιο ωραίο να παίρνεις ιδέες για νέα προϊόντα που δεν έτυχε ακόμη να δοκιμάσεις.   As 2011 is coming to an end, lists for our favorites of any kind (music, films, products etc) are very common. Personally I really like to read these posts as I find it nice to realise about favorite products some of us have in common or even better to discover new products I haven't tried out untill now. Δοκιμαστικό- Α hug full of Lush!

Δεν έχω γράψει ακόμη ποιες είμαστε, δεν έχουμε μορφοποιήσει το blog, δεν έχει καλά καλά βρει nickname η έτερη συνblogger μου... Απλά έχουμε ανοίξει τη σελίδα τόσο καιρό που θέλω να γράψω έστω  και δοκιμαστικά κάτι και το πρόσφατο ταξίδι μου στη Ρώμη και η επίσκεψη μου στα Lush μου έδωσε μια καλή αφορμή πιστεύω.
Να διευκρινίσω πως είναι η πρώτη μου κανονική επίσκεψη στα Lush και πέρα από ένα-δυο σαπουνάκια δεν είχα δοκιμάσει ξανά κάτι άλλο.
Αυτό που μου επισήμανε η πολύ εξυπηρετική πωλήτρια που με υποδέχτηκε είναι πλέον από ότι κατάλαβα σαν νέο moto των Lush " Δε φτιάχνουμε μόνο σαπούνια"
