Slowing signs of age: Vichy's new launch, Slow Âge |Smugnificent

Skincare products were always as equally interesting to me as makeup and as the years go by and I get older the balance tilts more in favour of skincare. And not only because good skin equals good makeup as many say, which is absolutely true to be honest. But most importantly because although makeup can be absolutely fun, artistic and amazing, skincare is actually an investment for your future. And the choices you make now about your skincare affect how your skin will look not only in a few months but also in the years to come. So although I was always into skincare, recently I am becoming more and more invested in my routine and I am finding products that suit my needs and prevent skin damage.

Vichy is a major player in the skincare game since many decades. It is a brand known for the variety of quality products for different skin needs at a reasonable price. Now Vichy is coming out with a new day cream, Slow Âge, focusing on slowing down signs of ageing. Coolbrandz launched a new campaign in Switzerland together with Vichy for the launching of Slow Âge so I received a testing version of the product and I have been using it since almost 3 weeks every morning.

Trying out hair products is among my favorite things in beauty blogging. I love taking care of my hair and keeping them shiny and full but most of all healthy. A lot of the hair products I review for you are luxury products that work amazingly for my hair but also are a kind of a small beauty investment. It 's been long since I reviewed a good affordable line of hair products because let's be honest taking care of our hair doesn't always have to break the bank. When Coolbrandz contact me to send me this line to test they only had to add one thing to get me excited: it smells fantastic! 

Το να δοκιμάζω νέα προϊόντα μαλλιών είναι από τα αγαπημένα μου πράγματα στο beauty blogging. Απολαμβάνω το να περιποιούμαι τα μαλλιά μου ώστε να είναι πυκνά και λαμπερά αλλά πάνω απ' όλα υγιή. Πολλά από τα προϊόντα μαλλιών που δοκιμάζω και σας παρουσιάζω στο blog είναι προϊόντα πολυτελείας και παρόλο που έχουν καταπληκτικά αποτελέσματα στα μαλλιά μου ομολογώ πως αποτελούν μια μικρή επένδυση. Έχει περάσει καιρός που έχω δοκιμάσει κάποια καλή οικονομική σειρά περιποίησης μαλλιών και ας είμαστε ειλικρινείς η περιποίηση των μαλλιών μας δεν χρειάζεται να τινάζει τη μπάνκα στον αέρα. Όταν λοιπόν η εταιρία Coolbrandz επικοινώνησε μαζί μου για να μου στείλει να δοκιμάσω τη σειρά αυτή χρειάστηκε μόνο μια ακόμη πληροφορία για να ενθουσιαστώ: τα προϊόντα μυρίζουν φανταστικά! 

Valeur Absolue: More than a perfume

 I have to admit that when I first show the post about a new perfume line on coolbrandz I thought "oh well, another perfume launch, the bottles look kinda cool" but my reaction changed as I read some more things. As Bénédicte Foucart, president and CEO of Valeur Absolue Parfums says "Valeur Absolue is a name that implies something that is absolutely essential and ultimately worthy...Our name, Valeur Absolue, represents the promise that we remain true to the real ‘essence’ of the perfume, that our products are, first and foremost, exceptional perfumes made from the best ingredients, all selected with great care, and that we invest significantly more time and money to what’s inside the bottle". For this Swiss company, a fragrance should be more than a perfume. Well that sounds interesting, promising and refreshing at least. It was a new cool idea that I definitely had to try out.

 Πρέπει να παραδεχτώ πως όταν πρωτοείδα το ποστ σχετικά με μια νέα σειρά αρωμάτων στο site του coolbrandz σκέφτηκα απλά "α οκ, ένα ακόμη λανσάρισμα αρωμάτων, τα μπουκάλια φαίνονται ενδιαφέροντα". Αλλά διαβάζοντας περισσότερα η αντίδραση μου ομολογουμένως άλλαξε. Όπως δηλώνει και η Bénédicte Foucart, πρόεδρος και CEO της εταιρίας Valeur Absolue Parfums " Το όνομα Valeur Absolue υπονοεί κάτι απόλυτα ουσιαστικό και υπέρτατης αξίας... Το όνομα μας, Valeur Absolue, αντιπροσωπεύει την υπόσχεση πως παραμένουμε αληθινοί στην αληθινή "ουσία" του αρώματος, πως τα προϊόντα μας είναι πάνω απ' όλα, εξαιρετικά αρώματα φτιαγμένα από τα καλύτερα συστατικά, διαλεγμένα με μεγάλη φροντίδα και πως επενδύουμε σημαντικά περισσότερο χρόνο και χρήμα στο τι περιέχεται μέσα στο μπουκάλι".  Για την Ελβετική αυτή εταιρία, ένα άρωμα πρέπει να είναι κάτι παραπάνω από ένα απλό άρωμα. Αυτό σίγουρα ακούγεται ενδιαφέρον, διαφορετικό και υποσχόμενο. Πρόκειται για μια νέα ιδέα που ήθελα σίγουρα να δοκιμάσω.

Omnia Crystalline by Bvlgari

  I always considered perfume as a very personal thing. Not all people love the same scents and for each woman a scent means something different, it brings different memories and images. Based on that as a reader I don't usually read a lot of perfume reviews as I consider that is the more difficult products to review objectively (well there is nothing objective about perfumes). When Coolbrandz and Edelbrandz contacted me to review the new Omnia Crystalline L' Eau de Perfum by Bvlgari I felt a bit torn based on that. On the other hand I fell in love with the bottle the moment I saw the ad (I really believe that I will never get over the rose gold phase) and I was very curious to try it.

Color Ultimate by Schwarzkopf- The easiest hair dying at home can get!

 I have mentioned several times that I color my hair since I was 16 (or less) and after maybe the first year when I was playing at home with some color-shampoos I am always having my hair professionally colored at a salon. The reason is that I find that professional hair dyes are of higher quality and that since I am putting my hair to this stress I have to try and protect them as possible. The second reason is that I find hair dying at home messy. And certainly even more difficult and messy to do it without help. On the other hand the last year and a half I have my hair quite dark (now they are black) and I am mostly concerned to freshen the roots so that I can cover the greys (yeah I have some grey, I had some even as a child  and I have more now of course). So sometimes I wish there was an easy way to freshen up my color and especially my roots alone at home and keep it within the budget. When I have read about the new Ultimate Color by Schwarzkopf in Coolbrandz I instantly thought that I might have found an answer to my problem.

 

 

 Σας έχω αναφέρει πολλές φορές ότι βάφω τα μαλλιά μου από τα 16 (ή και νωρίτερα) και μετά από τον πρώτο χρόνο που πειραματίστηκα με χρωμοσαμπουάν, από τότε πάντα βάφω τα μαλλιά μου σε κομμωτήριο. Ο βασικός λόγος είναι ότι βρίσκω τις επαγγελματικές βαφές πολύ καλύτερης ποιότητας και από τη στιγμή που ταλαιπωρώ τα μαλλιά μου τόσα χρόνια με τις βαφές θέλω τουλάχιστον να τους παρέχω την καλύτερη φροντίδα. Ο δεύτερος λόγος είναι ότι από την εμπειρία μου με φίλες, το να βάφεις τα μαλλιά στο σπίτι είναι μπελάς και ανακατωσούρα. Ειδικά αν το κάνεις μόνη σου. Από την άλλη βέβαια τα τελευταία χρόνια έχω τα μαλλιά μου πολύ σκούρα καστανά ή μαύρα μπλε και η βασική μου έγνοια είναι να φρεσκάρω λίγο το χρώμα αλλά κυρίως τις ρίζες και να καλύπτω τα άσπρα (ναι έχω κι από αυτά, είχα μερικά από παιδί που μου εμφανίστηκαν ξαφνικά και τώρα φυσικά έχω παραπάνω). Γι αυτό και πολλές φορές θα ήθελα έναν εύκολο και γρήγορο τρόπο να φρεσκάρω τα μαλλιά μου μόνη στο σπίτι αρκετά οικονομικά. Όταν λοιπόν διάβασα για την καινοτόμο βαφή  Ultimate Color της Schwarzkopf στο Coolbrandz , σκέφτηκα αμέσως ότι ίσως βρήκα τη λύση σ' αυτό που ψάχνω.

Lierac Prescription skincare review

 If you have been long around this blog or my Youtube channel you know my love about skincare and that it is a thing I take seriously. I don't consider myself an expert in any case but I always try to stay informed and try out new interesting products in order to improve my routine. About 2 months ago I was sent some products by coolbrandz from the new prescription line by Lierac and I am using them all this time (with a couple of small breaks because of traveling). So that is what I think about them.

 Αν είστε καιρό μέλη στο blog ή στο κανάλι μου ξέρετε πως είμαι κολλημένη με τα προϊόντα περιποίησης προσώπου και πως είναι κάτι που παίρνω πολύ σοβαρά. Δε θεωρώ τον εαυτό μου ειδήμων σε καμιά περίπτωση αλλά προσπαθώ να μένω ενημερωμένη και να δοκιμάζω νέα ενδιαφέροντα προϊόντα ώστε να βελτιώνω την καθημερινή μου ρουτίνα. Πριν από 2 μήνες περίπου μου έστειλαν από την εταιρία coolbrandz μερικά προϊόντα από τη νέα σειρά prescription της Lierac (που με ενημέρωσε μια subscriber πως θα κυκλοφορήσει Ελλάδα στα τέλη του μήνα), τα οποία χρησιμοποιώ όλο αυτό το διάστημα (με ελάχιστες εξαιρέσεις λόγω ταξιδιού). Ορίστε λοιπόν η γνώμη μου.

Burt's Bees for natural delicious lips

 It's been a few weeks that I received another package from coolbrandz, this time part of a large campaign for the new colors for the lips by Burt's Bees. My schedule has been crazy busy and I feel that I am a bit left behind on some of my reviews but I couldn't still not talk you about these beauties. I have tried already a selection of products by Burt's Bees and I totally trust their natural ingredients so I thought that the idea of lip products 100% natural sounded pretty interesting.

 Πριν λίγες εβδομάδες έλαβα ένα ακόμη πακέτο από την εταιρία coolbrandz, αυτή τη φορά ήταν τμήμα μιας μεγάλης καμπάνιας για τα νέα προϊόντα χειλιών από την εταιρία Burt's Bees. Έχω ένα ιδιαίτερα τρελό πρόγραμμα τελευταία και έχω μείνει πίσω σε αρκετά reviews αλλά δε θα μπορούσα να μη σας μιλήσω για αυτά εδώ τα προϊόντα. Έχω ήδη δοκιμάσει διάφορα προϊόντα περιποίησης από Burt's Bees και εμπιστεύομαι απόλυτα τα φυσικά τους συστατικά γι αυτό και η ιδέα των νέων τους 100% φυσικών προϊόντων για τα χείλη μου φάνηκε πάρα πολύ ενδιαφέρουσα.

Kérastase Couture Styling Collection review

Clothes, make up, accessories, every woman has to think a million things to put together a look.  But the most bothersome of all can be hair. We want them to look shiny and natural but styled and we want to change our hairstyles all the time while keeping it relatively quick and easy. Actually what most of us would love us is to have an amazing hairstylist working on our hair and make them look fabulous but not overdone every day ( I know that I would love that certainly). Because you might spent hours on putting your outfit and make up together and if your hair look bad the whole thing can result looking as a train-wreck... Since I don't have a personal hairstylist on my command, I like to search and find hair products and styling tips that can make my life easier and my hair look better. So of course the news of the new styling line by Kerastase,  the Couture Styling Collection were actually pretty exciting!

Τα προϊόντα αυτά που στάλθηκαν από το Coolbrandz, για οποίο σας έχω μιλήσει ξανά στο παρελθόν για να τα δοκιμάσω και να πω την άποψη μου γι αυτά. Δεν ξέρω αν η συλλογή αυτή κυκλοφόρησε Ελλάδα ή θα κυκλοφορήσει μέσα στους επόμενους μήνες (την έχει πάρει το μάτι σας;). Μιας και το post μου βγήκε ήδη τεράστιο, αφού πρόκειται για πολλά προϊόντα αποφάσισα να το αφήσω μόνο στα αγγλικά. Φυσικά θα χαρώ να απαντήσω στα σχόλια σας και στις ερωτήσεις σας αν θέλετε οποιαδήποτε διευκρίνηση στα Ελληνικά και σίγουρα θα δείτε κάποια από αυτά τα προϊόντα σε μελλοντικά posts ή videos με τα αγαπημένα μου.   The ones of you that are not new to this blog or my YT channel, know that my persistence with skincare is even worse than with make up. I am very much in to skincare these last few years and I love trying out stuff and making my everyday routine better and better. So I quite loved the idea of testing a skincare product for coolbrandz; Garnier's new makeup remover purifying gel 2 in 1 from the Pure Active line.

  Όσες δεν είστε πολύ καινούργιες στο blog ή στο κανάλι μου στο YT, ξέρετε πως η εμμονή μου με τα προϊόντα περιποίησης είναι ακόμη μεγαλύτερη κι από ότι με τα προϊόντα  make up. Ειδικά τα τελευταία χρόνια επενδύω περισσότερα σε προϊόντα skincare και μου αρέσει πολύ να δοκιμάζω και νέα προϊόντα ώστε να βελτιώνω συνεχώς την καθημερινή μου ρουτίνα περιποίησης.  I have mentioned again in the past Coolbrandz, which is a fantastic site where cool people meet cool ideas and products! Every single person living in Switzerland should check this one out for sure. This time I tested a new hair product for Coolbrandz, the new Garnier Fructis Dry Shampoo and I couldn't wait to share my opinion with you!

Αυτό το review μου ζητήθηκε από την εταιρία Coolbrandz για το νέο ξηρό σαμπουάν της εταιρίας Garnier Fructis και θα είναι γραμμένο στα αγγλικά, αλλά θα χαρώ να απαντήσω στις ερωτήσεις που έχετε. Σε γενικές γραμμές πιστεύω πως είναι ένα πολύ καλό προϊόν και θα αρέσει πολύ σε όσες κοπέλες έχουν πρόβλημα λιπαρότητας αλλά όχι μόνο. Kαι είναι τέλειο για την τσάντα ή το συρτάρι του γραφείου σας.

Repstyle collection by Essie

About a week ago, just half a day before I left for my business trip to Cyprus, I received a package from coolbrandz to review one of Essie's new magnetic polishes, in the shade lil' boa peep (you might have seen it on instagram). I have to admit I am usually skeptical about magnetic polishes, they are sometimes hard to use and without impressive results. Additionally they have been done again and again already by a lot from many companies. But when I saw this amazing the repstyle print by Essie, I was super excited! I love the quality of Essie polishes and I always enjoy when they try new stuff beside cream polishes. In fact that is my main complaint from Essie: do more different things. I 'd love to see duos, holos and glitters and flakies and everything but such an amazing brand. Well the magnetics were an excellent idea!

 Αυτό το post αφορά ένα review που μου ζητήθηκε να κάνω από την εταιρία coolbrandz για ένα από τα νέα μαγνητικά βερνίκια νυχιών της εταιρίας Essie, το lil' boa peep, από τη σειρά repstyle. Το ποστ αυτό είναι γραμμένο στα αγγλικά αλλά θα χαρώ να απαντήσω στις ερωτήσεις που έχετε. Όπως θα δείτε με παίδεψε πάρα πολύ στην εφαρμογή αλλά αγάπησα το αποτέλεσμα (και πλέον συνήθισα και τα καταφέρνω ακόμη καλύτερα, όπως θα δείτε και σε μελλοντικές photos στο Instagram). Χαίρομαι πολύ που η Essie αποφάσισε να δοκιμάσει κάτι διαφορετικό γιατί μου αρέσει η ποιότητα των βερνικιών της αλλά μου λείπει η ποικιλία και ξέρετε πόσο αγαπώ τα διαφορετικά βερνίκια. Η collection  περιλαμβάνει 6 αποχρώσεις και από όσο γνωρίζω δε θα κυκλοφορήσει στην Ελλάδα επίσημα αλλά σίγουρα μπορείτε να βρείτε τα βερνίκια online σε πολλά online stores και φυσικά στο ebay. Εννοείται πως η επόμενη απόχρωση που θα δοκιμάσω θα είναι το πράσινο, Croakadily. Έχετε δει τη συλλογή; Ποια απόχρωση ξεχωρίσατε;
